This was in with my Black Milk Ribs swimsuit package - an amazing cathedral print skirt.
The boy James surely has an eye for amazing prints and this skirt is no exception. Beautifully coloured, it had to be worn with similarly bright colours on top, so I clashed it with a floral print in the form of this Monki shirt.
This is the first time I have tried Black Milk that wasn't in the form of leggings and now swimsuits, and I am pleased to report that the fit is every bit as good with this skirt as it is for everything else. I'm now thinking how amazing it'd be if James designed a ribs dress?? OK, maybe getting a teeny bit carried away.
I would normally only wear a skintight skirt as an underlayer and never on it's own - well, not since I was 17 anyway! But the print on this skirt is so delicious, so vibrant, I had to put aside any bum issues and allow it to take cente stage.
I'm glad I did because I can now see it becoming a firm wardrobe favourite. I'm sure it will look equally lovely with toned down colours on top, but my first instinct is always to clash, when it comes to prints.
American Apparel sent me one of their parcels again and inside was this beautiful orange suede clutch. Normally American Apparel parcels, which just arrive periodically at my door, are filled with size XS clothes which I usually can't even fit an arse cheek in never mind all my body! So this, and admittedly a few other things in this particular parcel, is actually getting used and not going straight to the charity shop.
But for future reference American Apparel - I'm not a size Extra Small or even a Small, I'm a good old fashioned Medium.
