Back in ye olde days of this blog, one of the labels to approach us when they were just starting out, was StyleStalker. The lovely girls behind the Australian label, Sue-Ann San and Rachel Zeilic, had a really clear vision for their label even back then, and to see them make such a distinctive mark on the fashion landscape already, is testament to their dogged determination and talent for knowing what girls want to wear.
Proof positive of this is that so many cool girls have lusted after something StyleStalker at some point.
I had a wee swell of pride, as I often get with labels I've known since their beginnings, when I was browsing their rail in Selfridges last time I was in London. How far they have come!
I still have the jersey and sheer panelled dress they sent me all those years ago. Needless to say my ass don't fit that no more!
Rachel emailed me the other day to share with me their latest collection, and it's a beauty. Entitled, Come As You Are, a Nirvana reference is hard one to live up to, yet they manage it with their own distinct, rock girl attitude.
StyleStalker definitely have a signature style now, and the elements of this collection feed into that perfectly with lace up jeans, crochet, glamtastic silver and low side tees emblazoned with a peace sign.
