The lure of animal print and neon yellow together has been playing on my mind since seeing, and wanting, this Jimmy Choo clutch.
It's a combination which just works really well. I also feel the neon lends the classic print more of a youthful aura when they are side by side. The silver in the centre is just the cherry on top of the proverbial cake.
It's taken a while before I have been able to filter this inspiration into an actual outfit, but I found some cute little Topshop animal print shorts which are the perfect foundation upon which to build a neon/animal print outfit.
Teamed with plain white Alexander Wang t-shirt, some stocking tights, Burberry Prorsum shoes, Lucette biker, ASOS cuffs, Nelly belt and the all important finishing touch - my neon yellow Cambridge Satchel Company bag - the realisation of the original inspiration is complete.
It's more of a spring look, in reality, but with some thicker tights and a woolly jumper instead of the t-shirt, I can certainly wear it in colder weather too. It's a super simple outfit, and not exactly innovative, but it's so easy to wear and it's quite slouchy too, which is becoming increasingly more important for me when I'm getting ready for work.
