But strangely I always forget that I do. It always falls to Empress Gillian to remind me, every time I gravitate towards them in shops. My heart leapt when I found this little white crochet bird. It was crying out to be threaded onto some sequins, teamed with my vintage crochet shawl and taken for a little woodland walk...

A few words to tarnish something you previously held dear...

Last night, heading down to the sub, I popped on my Tatty Divine coach and horses necklace. I love that necklace, it is one of my all time favourites

When I was leaving, Harri said to me, "I like your necklace"

"Thank You" I said

Then he said " It looks like Katie Price's wedding"...

Oh Harri!  How could you?

Hopefully it is just tarnished, not forever tainted...

Christmas all year round...

Nothing cheers me up more than Christmas lights. A love shared by our own dear Sister Wolf.

So there was a very big smile on my face yesterday when I opened up an email from another dear friend JC who lives in London with some shots of the lights in Carnaby and Oxford Street.

It will come as no surprise I imagine, when I say that it always looks a bit like Christmas in The Palace!

I have silver and gold metallic stars hanging from ceiling and Christmas rope lights on the floor (which look amazing around my Kartell stool) all year round!

Even stranger was the first time I was in Florida, it was a boiling hot July night and I came upon a shop which sold Christmas decorations all year round. It felt totally surreal to be in that heat looking at reindeers. At least here it feels properly chilly. Typing this I am starting to feel Christmassy.

Highly illogical...

So! watching the new Star Trek movie, I had a disturbing, and most illogical thought...

I find the Young Spock strangely attractive!

On closer reflecttion, I think it's the shiny black fringe, the full lips and those stern eyebrows.

Most peculiar, most illogical!

As for the movie itself. It was exactly what I expected. An enjoyable fastmoving romp. But I confess, I felt a bit shortchanged. I would have enjoyed it so much more, if there had been more story set in The Academy itself. Seeing the training etc before they got to grips with The Enterprise itself. That may just be me. But hey ho. 

Now if you will excuse me, I'm about to get beamed over to the kitchen for some tea and toast.

Oh that Maverick! he's such a card. The tower said no, but he buzzed them anyway.

Who knew 16 year olds were allowed to fly fighter jets! I was vaguely alarmed to find out that Top Gun came out over 20 years ago!, 1986 to be exact.

I was never a big Top Gun fan, but I am a HUGE fan of the clever Becky Wignell from Swank who has made the most stunning F1-15 Fighter Jet perspex necklaces (from £30)...

I feel the need, the need for speed!

So yes I do actually like Kasabian, but as a very wise man once said to me "Just because you confess your sins, it doesn't make it better!". So I shall try to redeem myself by sharing one of my favourite bands from many, many moons ago: Melvins. This isn't my favourite track, or even one of my favourite tracks, but there isn't much by way of old Melvins stuff with accompanying footage/video sadly.
