Ever found yourself accidentally, or deliberately, in the middle of a fevered sale scrum?
Women desperate for a bargain will use anything at their disposal as a weapon to fight off the pawing competition. Elbows, nails and of course handbags. How many of you have been stragically shoved out of the way by a wayward handbag when you're simply trying to look at clothes like a normal person, and not a rabid dog? Well, I have the answer.
Empire33 sent us an email about their handbags which utilise sword handles in their designs. The designer behind the label, Marjan Petrovski, had the idea in a dream. He dreamt that the famous Japanese sword fighter, Miyamoto Musashi, was dueling with General Custer over a Gucci bag. From that dream he created the most beautifully crafted bags I think I have ever seen. Just what you need at the next Harrods sale.

Marjan has worked for labels such as Whispered Scream, Chainsaw Chuckles, 4th Rebellion, Brux and Capitale and now run creates his bags in a workshop in Sydney.
Prior to creating his line of handbags he was a millner, getting into after reading about a man who wore a possum on his head and believed it was a hat! Which reminds me of the book by neurologist Oliver Sacks, The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat, which is a collection of stories about cases he'd come across during his career and one of them was a music teacher who suffered a condition, visual agnosia, which meant his brain was unable to recognize human faces and so one day, whilst looking for his hat, he tried to put his wife's head on his head thinking it was his hat!
It seems that Marjan Petrovski looks to the oddest of places for inspiration!
