Nothing cheers me up more than Christmas lights. A love shared by our own dear Sister Wolf.
So there was a very big smile on my face yesterday when I opened up an email from another dear friend JC who lives in London with some shots of the lights in Carnaby and Oxford Street.
It will come as no surprise I imagine, when I say that it always looks a bit like Christmas in The Palace!
I have silver and gold metallic stars hanging from ceiling and Christmas rope lights on the floor (which look amazing around my Kartell stool) all year round!
Even stranger was the first time I was in Florida, it was a boiling hot July night and I came upon a shop which sold Christmas decorations all year round. It felt totally surreal to be in that heat looking at reindeers. At least here it feels properly chilly. Typing this I am starting to feel Christmassy.
Oh Bollocks!

I've been in the mood to decorate too but I thought it might be too early. I should have known it's never too early for shiny things! Love that Kartell stool!

Where I live, one must suspend disbelief to allow Xmas to "happen." It's too warm here to ever feel Xmassy.
These decorations are superb. All of them, the street ones and yours.

Carnaby St is fab but the Oxford St lights have grown on me - can't wait to get mine out in the home.

Oh, awesome! I loved the snowmen in Carnaby Street last year too.
I haven't started decorating yet, because I'm moving house next week, but once I get settled in the tinsel will go up, for sure! It's just me and my cat for Christmas this year so it hardly seems worth it, but I want to decorate all the same!

Wow you guys start even earlier than here in NY! Last week walking down 5th Ave the only shop decked out was Cartier, which in my opinion doesn't need any more sparkle than what's already in those windows (wipes drool from chin.) Usually just after Thanksgiving is when all goes haywire with holiday decor. Just a few more weeks and we'll be inundated! Do love the pics of London and the royal domicile!

What store is it in Florida? Is it the Christmas Palace? I live real close to one, here in Miami. I know what you mean about looking at reindeers in the heat, and at least that was in July, so the heat was justified, but can you imagine it being just as hot on Christmas day? It's awful. I wish I could go somewhere cold for Christmas.
