Now it's nearing unemployment time I have to begin weaning myself off visiting online shops. I had to have one last peek at Not Just A Label shop before I have to say goodbye for heaven knows how long.
Luckily most of what's on NJAL is beyond my financial reach even when I have a job. It's still nice to look as I do get inspired, especially as unemployment equals lots of DIY time.
I was especially drawn to the work of label Gadofka. The artisanal qualities of each piece are evident with unusual patchwork and heavy embellishment.
The leggings are very appealiing to me. I like that they look inside out. These are Frankenstein's monster of legwear!
The colourful printed dress with huge skirt is delicious. I think Queen Marie would approve.
I think the combination of graphic patchwork and braided fabric bib, for lack of a better desciption, on this dress is stunning.
All very expensive but of course the workmanship is hugely obvious. However, certainly some DIY ideas to take from these pieces.

I love the black/white mini dress, but the raw edges on those leggings are pretty darn awful. My 8yr old son could sew better than that!! Love the pattern of the leggings though so the the poor finish is such a shame.

Sarah, it's meant to be like that!
Moi, I do freelance on top of my full time job. Currently the freelance I do is for music labels in which case it's piss poorly paid, or fashion labels in which case it's payment in clothes. I will need to try and get back into agency freelance though.
Eva, it's from Not Just A Label shop.

i LOVE the crazy patchwork leggings! i might like to see them with the seams onthe inside though?
reminds me of the time I was Astro Boy for hallowee'n, and as he is naked on top I cobbled together and entire paneled shirt [ie, Astro Boy torso] out of nude nylons.
i feel a DIY coming on ... good way to re.use some slightly tattered stockings too.

The full-skirted dress is a dream.

You don't have to wean yourself off of all online shops (especially ones with free shipping).
I'm so glad that the detailed, bib-like collar trend is continuing. So pretty and feminine, no matter what the materials

I made a teeny tiny braided rug a while ago - it's easy! Let the DIY commence!

Ooh, that braided bib is just lovely! I covet!

the big-skirted dress is beautiful.
however the first leggings look like the model had a miscarriage. kind of horrifying.

I saw those leggings in the shop and thought of you! I guess you have to pay for quality... sob. I can't afford any of it either, but it's nice to dream.

lol...I know the leggings are supposed to be like that but I think the execution is off. It looks like a mistake.
