The Queen Mother has a bad back, so yesterday, I ran her into Glasgow to have extra firm foam cushions made for her favourite chair. She also wanted to try on a pair of boots in the Frasers sale. For this I had to steel myself...
Queen Michelle and I love Frasers. We could live in Frasers. But Frasers at sale time, when you have no money = heartbreak. The boots were not good on, so we toddled upstairs to look at coats. My mother loves anoraks and raincoats the way I love sequins. None were quite right, but out of the corner of my eye, I spotted the happiest coat I have ever seen. A coat the colour of buttercups and sunshine. The minute I put it on I began to smile, so did my mum ( she was just glad to see me in something other than black). When she offered to buy it for my birthday, which is still over a month away, my smile got even bigger.
So last night on the darkest, wettest night of the summer I took some shots to share it before it gets stashed away...
