I don't get the time very often but I do like to read a good book. Aside from history books I mostly like the decidedly low brow stuff: horror, crime fiction, conspiracies, books about Marilyn Monroe. Fluff in other words. I like to get my imagination wandering into silly stories or pondering about how the CIA is pretty much responsible for every remotely suspicious death. Yeah, like I said - fluff.
The downside of liking to read is the fact the only real time I can do it is when I travel to and from work and carrying those peskily heavy books is, quite frankly, a bit of a pain.
What I need is for my books to be smaller. Small enough to wear. I think I might prefer to wear books rather than read them.
Luckily Black Spot Books has created books so little they have been made into necklaces!
A much better way to carry books methinks. Now I just need a really big magnifying glass...

Oh, aren't they sweet! And what a suspiciously long neck that girl has! Perfect for wearing a lot of books, I spose

I've always loved miniature books...I've seen some incredible ones!

I loooove this seller - been eyeing her pieces for some time. Still hemming and hawing over whether to buy one or a bunch - which look so great on the long-necked *mannequin* above.
Heh heh

I know about 29 English majors who'd go bjonkers for one of these necklaces.

ARGH! Amazing! As a final year PhD literature student it was be INSANE not to have one, right? And as it happens I have some scraps of leather at home crying out for a DIY project...and some ivory paper...and some ink for marbling...
i know what I'll be doing tonight!

You won't want to wear it, but going back to the initial preimise of too-big too-heavy, you should get an eBook. I've had the Sony one since it first came out in the US and will never look back. I can carry the equivalent of 60 books in a device the size of a small paperback. That's much better than having to carry a bunch of books for a three-week trip. Or there's the Kindle - I don't like the design as much but it has the advantage of not needing a PC to download. Sadly, not everything that's published comes out as an eBook but I haven't run out of reading matter yet.
