I got the most insane grey and black drop-crotch, jersey trousers from wonderful Etsy seller Babooshka Boutique.
As I have said before, long ago, I have no fear of wearing the harem pant and getting the usual, tired old MC Hammer, 'you can't touch this' joke (and I use the term loosely) that envariable comes with wearing them as I walk down the street. It doesn't deter me and it's worth it because comfy, jersey trousers, that aren't trackie bottoms, are a valuable commodity in my wardrobe. And these are all of the above. Beautifully made and addictively comfy. Even my Prince adores them! (not to wear, to look at!)
I am also sporting my fabulously beautiful neckpiece by another Etsy seller Giia, whom I've spoken about before. It's made of layers of soft, blue felt and is the most beautiful neckpiece I own. I keep touching it since it's so deliciously soft.
And yes, as my shoe cull progresses you'll be seeing even more of these Givenchy shoes I'm afraid.

both looks are amazing!

Ooh! I've been eyeing that neckpiece by Giia! It's SO gorgeous! I was unsure as to which colour (leaning towards the blue), but this has cinched the deal ;)

What are you trying to do to my bank balance! I have a tiny waist (25"), like yourself, would you recommend I get a XS??

Brigadeiro, the blue is really a beautiful shade of blue.
Milly, I just gave her my measurements and she sent me the appropriate size, she's very helpful indeed.
The jacket is....Topshop! Surprise surprise!

Those Givenchys are absolutely TOWERING! And the Babooshka trousers are nice. I love the grey color.

I have to ask about the shoes -- is it really so terrible to have "extras" as long as you really like them? I have shoes I only wear a few times a year -- and I've been happily doing it for 15 years. I feel like that's pretty worthwhile.

You look fantastic, especially in the grey pants/jacket outfit. I get the feeling if I tried to wear Harem pants, people would stare at me like I was crazy!

I was thinking about getting these harems as well, they're a cool shape. Where is your white top from in the second pic?
Posted by: KB | Tuesday, 24 March 2009 at 12:11
Where's that white top from? I want to see more of it!
Lovely trousers btw, I'm not brave enough for harem pants but I do have to say those look mighty cosy!

These harem pants have just the right amount of "hang" to them & the fact that the legs are slenderly tapered & that they've got an interesting hip drape shape makes these particular pants a lot more wearable than some of the harem pants I've seen about recently. I really like your second styling with the blazer, it’s fab!

WendyB I have no room in my house whatsoever for storage, so I can't have as many shoes as I need to store many of the on the floor, which has been awful as Amber chews her way through them! If I get a bigger flat then I won't be parting with anything!
Helen LG it's a top from a local designer called Onno which I customised. It was in one of my JobShop Style posts in better detail.

Ally, I got them a couple of years ago from Ravel. They were such a great find.

The neckpiece is just stunning! Glad you snapped one up.

I'm so into this look! You wear it well. I tried on harem style pants recently and they're SO comfy. Like wearing a skirt, with the added security of pants.

You wear them so well! I love the neckpiece, too.

I love those troos. I tried very similar last summer in Zara, but alas don't have the height to carry them off.

I just got one of Babooshka's oversized dresses in the mail the other day and I've been wearing it non-stop. It's really nice for the price.
I could never pull of the drop-crotch trousers, but they look great on you!
