You know how much I love Complex Geometries and I am thrilled to see them getting more and more press in both print and on blogs. I wrote about them a while ago and was very kindly sent a dress to play with which has given me endless fun trying to find a different way of wearing it each time I bring it out to play.
Their latest collection called 'Between Good And Evil, sees Clayton work his magic on jersey, amongst other fabrics, to create more covetible pieces that manipulate shape and form.
Their trickery includes garments which have no designated front or back so for someone like me, who very often wears her clothes back to front, having pieces which are actually designed that way is a sartorial blessing.
Their inspiration, which ranges from "vigilantes, religious icons, toreadors, and ghostly apparitions" has led them to produce fluid capes, draped and flowing tops, a wonderful full length grey jersey dress and the most amazing jacket which looks like a soft, melted cocoon, all using shades of grey, black, white and hues of purple and pink.
The beauty of Compex Geometries is that it unapologically bows to no trend or whim, instead sticking to their own little plot of the fashion island. Ploying away, seeing the fruits of their labour come into bloom with each passing season.
