So this is the first Job Shop Style post now we are into the new year. I hope and pray there won't be too many of them this year. Having had my fair share of dealing with egocentric maniacs I deserve a break!
I found this amazing vintage dress in a charity shop last week. It needed shortened since it was ankle length and now I have shortened it I completely love it. The print on the top half is very Marni-esque and is made of the sheerest silk.
I went for full on autumnal shades of green and brown with my DIY PVC leggings, vintage crochet gloves, and Topshop shoes.
I added my vintage felt cloche hat and bag and Zara coat
I'm sure I heard someone mutter something about a crash helmet but I suppose that was to be expected.
I have had this Zara coat for ages and rarely wear it because I hate the buttons and never got round to changing them, but wearing it again has provided me the impetus to do it. I'm thinking three mis-matched buttons would look much better.

Lovely dress and not a hint of crash helmet about that hat! some people are so rude.
Lets hope we see a first day back at work outfit post real soon.

A very snazzy outfit. Large mismatched buttons in autumnal colours (brown, russet, yellow) would be marvelous on that coat. Can't wait to see.

I'd love to be your careers bitch, looking forward to your visit each week just to see what you'd be wearing. This one looks snug, even though you could translate it into summer - ace outfit Michelle.

completely wonderful-the shoes are to die for and I love the whole look with the little gloves! I have a pair of grey vintage ones...It might be time to dig them up.

This is by far one of my favorite outfits of yours ever! I love how important solid colors become in it, how they all play around the top of the dress... wonderful!

Ahh! This is one of those outfits that is so perfect with the outer bits--the hat and coat and gloves and all--that it is just, I don't know! Perfect! Possibly one of my favorites. Also, your hair looks particularly lovely!

The crash helmet comment was totally undeserving!
I tend to wonder about some of your outfits, mostly because I am a conservative dresser myself, I am sure, but I absolutely adore everything about this outfit! It is a total inspiration!

I seriously LOVE this outfit! It looks really great on you as well, it's really flattering.
Your hat doesn't look like a crash helmet by the way it's very cute

I adore your outfit, as always! I do hope you won't have to go to Job Shop for long, but it's wonderful how you show one can be stylish even when a bit skint (which I am too!).
I tried to comment on the "distressed ballet dancer" post earlier, as I linked it to my blog, hope that's ok?
All the best to you!!!

I love this outfit, probably since I am somewhat impartial to the green. I wonder why I don't wear it more often myself..
