I'm in the house, wearing this and looking out at the blanket ice on the road and pavement and already thinking that I may have to change my shoes. I will also have to shove a great big army parka over the top as it's bloody freezing.
I made this dress years ago. It was knee length but looked too dowdy so I ended up shortening it and it looks much better now. So this is it's first outing for a long time. I am wearing it with my charity shop bought lace cardie, DIY neckpiece, orange Tabio tights, H&M jacket, vintage bag and Aldo boots.

That is a stunning dress. Good work! x

I love it all except for the tight, I think another color would have been better.

Wow, this is a lovely dress, well done Michelle ! Looks amazing with your delightful neck piece.
Love your council series of post by the way, I think this is such interesting material, have you thought of compiling those posts together to create some kind of artistic piece ?
It has a very contemporary content to it, and I'm sure many people would connect. I know I do because I too had to go to those monthly job centre meetings (called national job agency here in France). Those compulsory meetings were quite pointless so the whole thing felt absurd, but I also made a point of dressing the part - although not as gloriously as you do, you are such stylish woman.

I LOVE this.
There are these old industrial pipes by our house that my husband and I love. Its a sort of powder blue pipe with rusting orange pipes coming out of it and the color scheme is so cool- we always find ourselves staring. This outfit reminds me of a beautiful translation of it! So great. :)

Your dress is lovely. The whole outfit is wonderful actually, but the dress especially. I completely understand what you mean by knee-length feeling a bit dowdy sometimes.
