Hot Cocosa
I know not 5 minutes ago I said I was too unwell to post, but I just had to get this one before I forget.
I got an email from a lovely lady who told me about an online shop she's helping put together, along with some people from Grazia. It's basically a site, called Cocosa, which will sell high end designers for sale prices. What designers I don't know. Could be amazing could be rubbish, but either way I reckon it's worth a look.
What you have to do is register and they will let you know when the first sale is taking place. You need a super secret squirrel password to register...and I have it for you - it's cocosa1.
The prices, allegedly half the normal retail, should mean you will be able to at least scoop something special. The downside is that it's only open to UK peeps at the moment.

what about us fashion-victims who are not in the UK?? :(((

I have registered, but I´m not from UK so I could only see, not to buy. Thanks

Cocosa isn't the first website to launch this concept. In fact, it's been around in the UK since July 2007 when we launched www.secretsales.com - the UK's first online private sales club. You can see some of the brands we work with, including Breil, True Religion, Aquascutum amongst many others. Prices are up to 80% off and you can purchase straight away after registering. The brands on offer are always changing.
Cocosa's just jumping on the bandwagon...I predict their site will be something very similar to ours. xx

Too bad for me!

Yes I heard about this a few days ago. It is supposed to be a rival to asos.com. Whether it will be a success, time will tell.

Sounds intriguing! Feel better!

There seem to be a number of these sites popping up, like Rue La La and Gilt Group too.
I haven't bought anything yet though but some of it seems good.
I like that bag in the picture there.

I read about it but it didn't excite me. It just makes me think it will be crappy end-of-line stuff. Isn't it a bit like Yoox but more exclusive? I dunno, I s'pose I should really check it out first!

I'm interested to see what they'll have.
Most of the similar UK sites are full of complete tat.
However Gilt Groupe has some truly amazing sales (tragically it's only available in the US, it breaks my heart looking at the site) so I'm hoping Cocosa will be more like that.

I'm a member of Gilt Groupe and it's not all that great. The prices are too expensive and the styles are too quirky. Give me some fashion I can wear. If Cocosa is like Gilt Groupe I'd prefer to stay away...

I've signed up, but does anyone know when the site is actually launching?
BTW: I've bought a few things from http://www.catwalktocloset.com. They have great prices, but the stocks and sizes limited so you have to act fast if you see something you like.

Um...$1000+ dresses at $200 on Gilt Groupe seems pretty much like a good bargin to me. Maybe it's the quirkiness that attracts me. I'd rather it be interesting than boring.

Oh but I do agree that catwalktocloset does occasionally have some good stuff.
And Soup and Fish gets some great pieces but it's a very small site and they don't have much range or many sizes (if you don't like quirky you also may not want to bother. Their biggest names are Viktor and Rolf and Margiela)

I've been on the cocosa site and was very pleasantly surprised. I bought some Mawi jewellery at 60% off. It arrived beautifully packaged and only took 2 days to get to me on normal post. I've just been on again and purchased some of the gorgeous Pringle accessories they have. Definitely a site to watch. It's not full of rubbish like the majority of the others. They have Temperley, Zac Posen and Superfine coming up. I have a good feeling about it.
