Inspecting Inbar Spector
Inbar Spector's debut collection is a vision of complexity and intricacy. The graduate of Israel’s Shenkar College, this London based designer has deftly created a collection of couture-like construction. She utilises panels of corseting and zips and even elements of rucksacks to realise her vision of representing the issue of immigration; transition and movement.
It's her combination of hard and soft that really appeals to me such as the delicate chiffon, strips of PVC, tulle, buckles, lace and aertex all intertwine with the craftsmanship of corsetry.
Queen Michelle

I really like those intricate trousers with the one lace sleeved top. I could never make the trousers work because I'm a shortarse, but I am tempted to do one lace sleeve like that.

I love the first two. They have so much movement. Also, these clothes would be right at home in a sci-fi flick :)

I'm wowed by the lace top in the bottom pic, its lighter and more delicate than most of the other lace work round. There is something net curtain aobut it that really appeals to me. Also have a strong pull towards the Louboutin?? boots in the first pic.

The thing that strikes me is the monotone, either all white, or black, works fantastically because of the high level of texture on the pieces, using different shades and finishes with such structural pieces. Brilliant!

These pieces look very complicated to produce. I love how elaborate they are.

I think Chloe's hit the nail on the head here - 'all white, or black, works fantastically because of the high level of texture on the pieces'
I think it's wonderful to see the materials and textures given such prominence and there are some really lovely pieces. I'll have to look out for Inbar
