Lace, lace all over the place...
We are all going to be seeing a lot of lace this year and we are going to see it everywhere! On us and in our homes.
Lace and lacemaking is an ancient and highly involved process. There is even reference made in the Bible, in the Book of Exodus to lace. It has come in and out of fashion throughout the ages, but it always comes back and this season Prada have it front and centre.
"Look love! how many times do I need to tell you, your vest goes underneath your clothes..."
I love lace. Black is splendid of course but I think you really appreciate the beauty of it when you see it in other colours...
Now while you can't argue with this modern incarnation, my heart belongs to lace used in 1950 and 60's gowns.

I am a true convert! I saw an amazing clear lucite cuff with lace embedded in it a while ago but can't for the life of me remember who made it...I'll have to have a hunt around I think!

Yes, i do indeed love lace but not in that 1st Prada outfit. I've spotted itin quite a few of the fashion mags recenlty and each time I see it my brain goes "nonononononooooooooo!"
