It's Good To Be Nasty
It's finally here - the Nasty Gal online shop. I would go as far as to say probably about 90% of you have at the very least checked out Nasty Gal's ebay shop, and been terrified by the prices the items went for. So it'll be huge relief for most that you can sample some of those great pieces without the virtual bun fight that is a bidding war.
The shop prices, though not bargain basement, are much more reasonable than the prices they fetched on ebay.
I was lucky enough to see this site develop from it's initial stages and Sophia's plan for selling new stuff by small labels, as well as vintage, really appealed to me. I certainly hope Sophia adds more of her famed "avant-garde" pieces onto the site as in my opinion it's these selections which will really set Nasty Gal apart from other vintage shops.

I'm loving the new shop. I always got out bid on everything on the ebay!

I love the glasses on the girl in the zipped bandage dress. And I covet most of her collection (including that luscious bow-tied jacket up there)- too bad most of it seems to have already sold out!

How I adore that last dress! I followed a couple of her auctions, but didn't even stand a chance at winning.. I don't have that kind of money!
Also, I really love her models, so I'll be gazing adoringly at this site for a while to come!

I love the safety shades on the site - they vaguely remind me of Margiela's "black bar" shades. (Am I the only one who calls sunglasses shades?)

YAY! I hate ebay, it's too emotional for me, too much heartbreak and rage.
Thank you for the tip, Queen Michelle.

Wow, what a selection! I really like the last dress, and am glad that there's a chance for me, to grab some things the old-fashioned way, instead of eBay.

I just checked it out and it is WAY beyond any budget I set aside for vintage clothing, however fabulous they may be!

Nasty is not so good afterall. These gals are highly unethical on ebay. Indie cult is proving that. Not even a registered user these days. Costumes sold as vintage -smoke and mirrors - don't be fooled bloggers - she's laughing all the way to the bank with these low quality items. You can find vintage quality designer gems on ebay for less than this. The trend will shift and she's shiftless.
