Call Of The Cheyenne
I am desperately trying to cut down on my shoe purchases but of course all I can think about is shoes.
I have been in love with Tashkent by Cheyenne for a few seasons now.
Her strangely alluring designs balance between being completely ugly and completely interesting. I, flying the flag for all things ugly, say it's the ugliness that makes them so interesting, as with life in my opinion. Those things which make you wonder if they are exquisite or hideous are the things that I find most compelling. Sometimes blindingly beautiful can be ever so dull. I think my whole life would be complete if I had the black wedges. Nope, no exaggeration here!
On a side note, I always wanted to be called Cheyenne. Such a pretty name.
Queen Michelle

The ugly makes it eye-catching. Wasn't Cheyenne the name of Marlon Brando's beautiful, tragic daughter?

It is indeed WendyB. She killed herself didn't she?

I love the designs but when I wrote about them a while back, a reader warned me about the comfort factor.... they're apparently deceptively uncomfortable!

This is my first foray into the ugly-beautiful shoe.

I have short legs and imo, on me anyway, there are only certain types that look good. I love love love these though :)

Oh Kingdom, you've set the hipness standard so high that sometimes I think I might as well just throw in the proverbial towel.
I am thoroughly gaga for that first delicious pair of camel delights. They would work well on even short-legged lasses. They do look imposingly comfy for some reason, but I guess I'll have to take Susie's word for it. She tends to know what she's talking about.
It's high time I did a shoe post, since my collection has spontaneously bred itself into a massive throng of canvas and leather - methinks they fuck like jackrabbits whenever I (try to) close my closet door.
Sigh.

Those black wedge boots do indeed seem like perfection in the form of shoe wear, sad about the uncomfability :( better to know in advance I guess...

They are the most beautiful shoes!!!!! I would trade my rent for a pair!! :-)))

Come on girls, let us not let a small thing like comfort get in the way of a good shoe! Heavens, if I were to only leave in my closet the things that are comfortable I'd have nothing left.

Why are there no retailers in London? I may just have to online purchase. xf

Queen Michelle I see no black wedges, do you mean the 2nd pic?
They look positively navy to me, and even better for it.

They look positively lovely, although I bet they get absolutely rubbish if they get wet. I actually heart the 3rd pair.

Oh me likes a lot! What great numbers. Statements all of their own and since when did comfort come into it!

These are hawt - love the third pair!

Grey marl wedges. I don't usually endorse the wedge as I like to feel the ground under my feet. But wow. Grey marl wedges. I'd never take them off.

Wow. I must own the first pair, they are gorgeous. By the way I went to http://www.leblogdebetty.com/ and commented on her most recent post and someone mentioned 'kingdom of style' in the midst of this gorgeous French. Thought you might like to check it out - the Frenchies are reading your site!

I bought the wedge booties in bronze when they first came out. They run small, just warning you. It's a given that I couldn't walk in them at all.

I'm currently in love with "ugly shoes"...the kind that mixes booties/sandals/peeptoes/sling back etc. These are gorgeous!!!

That second to last pair is making me weak...

Outstanding shoes! The 1st and last ones do it for me.

Cheyenne's family were tragic.
I love those shoes, "ugly" or not.
