The Finnish Have Faith
Ok, ok I take it all back. There are good looking mid height shoes out there. Namely Finsk. Yup, those lovely shoes that were stocked in Topshop not so long ago have moved into Faith's online store. Beautifully crafted heels underneath quirky designs make the mid-height heel hot.
I eat my words.

Not my taste, but I agree they have a certain something most boring mid-height shoes don't.
One other thought, you could check out Cole Haan. I think they are only in the US, and mostly I think you will find they are not fashion-forward enough for you and too expensive for a "compromise" shoe (e.g. at the moment the only thing they have that I like is the Moira sandal and that's not particularly on any current trend). However every once in a while they have a gem and the MAGIC is they have a partnership with Nike, so the shoes have a concealed air support which does make them much more comfortable.

I tend to make mid-height heels look like kitten heels in proportion to my height, so I've never been a fan either. That said, these quirky shapes are impossible not to like! The silver ones at the bottom are my favorites. I like how they have just that tiny little stripe of green on the heel.

OOh yes, I remember getting all excited about these a few months back.
They are lovely, but I'm not sure if this heel height gets me excited anough to want to fork out £100ish.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with shoes or the funny little conical heel pictured in this post but ... am I the only one thinks that Queen Michelle could be the twin sister of the amazingly beautiful model Irina Lazareanu? Food for thought.

I've been meaning to say this for ages back when someone suggested it before, but now that July has said it again i will finally add my tuppance's worth.
I personally think the only similarities between the two (queen michelle and Irinia ) are the body shape and hair.
In fact i think the official model is not a patch on our Michelle, who is much prettier.
Michelle has very pretty and delicate features but Irinia just looks soooooooooooo plain to me.
Anyways got that off me chest... finally!
And yes I am feeling a lot of love for the shoes. I thought i'd never say it but this blog has got me strangely attracted to the ugly shoe . I'm drawn to them even though sometimes i cannot explain why. Tis tres weird, but good weird. Thankyou michelle for making me think outside box.

July, yeah it has been said, on and off this blog, that I look similar to Ms Lazareanu. I personally just don't see it! Really I don't. The hair I totally get as we do have quite similar hair, but I can't see any facial similarities. Irina is much prettier (and younger!), but she's a model and that's her job.

i was going to say that i like the heel on the bottom right and the colours on the top right, though im not a mid-heel girl at all- at 5'1 i need as much height as i can get!
but then i saw the Lazareanu comment. i have studied this for a grand total of 2 minutes and can conclude that there is definitely something there, not just hair or body shape but i think theres a similarity in the facial structure around the cheekbones. basically queen michelle (it seems odd to not put 'queen' now that ive read your blog for so long!) if you posted a the headshot on the right http://www.catwalkqueen.tv/irina.jpg none of us would be any the wiser!
