In Victorian times, flowers adorned everything! The repressed Victorians even developed a language of flowers, called floriography. It was a means of coded and secret communication that allowed individuals to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken...
These feelings mostly concerned love and friendship, I don't think they concerned themselves with shoes and handbags.
On Thursday night, both Queen Michelle and I expressed ourselves through flowers.
Daisy and Rose to be precise...
We both felt in need of the uplift that only a new perfume can sometimes give.
Queen Michelle went for Daisy by Marc Jacobs because it smelled "carefree and happy", I went for Paul Smith, Rose, because it smelled like roses , doh!
Whereas Queen Michelle is a self professed 'fragrance whore', I very rarely change smells, usually only doing so when forced ie when they stop making it.
Although I am quite taken with the newcomer, I am pretty certain this is only a 'one bottle fling' and I shall be reunited with my constant companion - Stella, before the month is out.
Stella by Stella McCartney smells like (would you believe it!) Roses.
Ah me, the more things change, the more they remain the same...
Queen Marie
