So I decided to try some off colour experiments with my newly finished dress. Overall I sort of remembered why I didn't like the dress so much in the end - because it's very dowdy. I find it hard to do dowdy with aplomb. Some people totally have librarian chic down pat and look amazing, but I just sort of look frumpy and mumsy. However, in all fairness the dress did fair well in amongst the off colours I used.
I can't honestly say I will definitely wear the dress, but I if I invest in some more unusual colours I will be more inclined to work it in somehow.

Ooh, I like the first one best, I feel like the color balance you have achieved there is the most... harmonious. If that even makes sense. The others are quite fine too.

Im starting to doubt your post about irina. I am throughly convince that you are her now. I might have to borrow this dress from you soon if I get my job at the library...

You look fantastic! Love the colours and you don't look dowdy at all, just way cool. (But I know how you feel, sometimes even though I know I have a great outfit on I still feel a bit frumpy - it's just a psychological barrier. You must get over it!)

Two things:
1. The dress is kick arse with all that fab color! I love the purple tights in snap #2.
2. I second Eli's comment on this particular post...you seeeriously look like Irina. Seriously.
Absolutely adore this blog and both dear Royal Highnesses. I guess that was 3 things, not 2...oh wells! Cheers!

Your style looks great in each combination and you have such great colours! I wouldn't mind having everything you have and I wouldn't mind daring to wear all those combinations.
