Shoes Are Like Buses...
....one minute you have none then all of a sudden three come at once.
The shopping fairy is a tricky little minx indeed. I get the feeling I'm meant to be learning some lesson here. Let me explain...
Remember I told you how I had some great Jazz shoes? How I finally succumbed to them after many long months of pondering? Well I technically didn't have them. I had ordered them online from Office. Well a week came and went and no sign of the shoes so after some serious Miss Marpling I discovered they were out of stock (finding out from Office that they don't have your shoes isn't as easy as you think - they don't answer emails, they don't answer the phone and they don't send emails, you only know if you're getting your order if you happen upon the section of their site called My Office, which to me isn't immediately obvious).
Anyway, thwarted I began a hunt for alternatives. After lots of internet searching I came across a Canadian shoe shop which sold these ones by Ash:

They weren't exactly what I was after but they were brown which I quite fancied. I will end up paying alot for these as I will be humped on customs charges - so they'll work out at about £150. But I figured I'd torture myself if I didn't get them. So these bad boys are winging their way to me as we speak.
Then on Saturday night Queen Marie was looking online and found the Repetto ones (I had looked for these after I discovered the Office ones were no more, but I couldn't find them). And I really loved them. So I bought them too, in black.
Unfortunately I can't send the Ash ones back as they are a final sale. So now I've got two pairs. But my dear Prince said he'd help me pay for the Repetto ones so that took the edge off.
Then this morning I get a little note from the postman saying he tried to deliver a package but I wasn't in. I couldn't for the life of me think what it could be. I buy alot stuff online so I assumed it was just something I'd just forgotten about...then it dawned on me this afternoon - I bet it's the shoes from Office! Low and behold, I go into My Office and there is a 'shipped' notice saying my shoes have been sent out afterall!
So now I have 3 pairs of friggin jazz shoes!!! So instead of spending the rather reasonable £45 which I had originally planned, I've now spent £365!!
The exact same thing happened with the Chloe shoes - one minute I had none then I had 3! Yep, that shopping fairy sure is trying to tell me something...

The same exact thing is happening to me and I just kinda stumbled upon your blog. I ordered the same flats from the office about 2 weeks ago, but no confirmation e-mail, no answering my e-mails or calls..nothing. The order keeps saying Pending on My Office. Can I ask how long you waited from the time you placed your order? I am about to order the Repetto ones from La Garconne and it looks like they are low on stock, so need to make the decision right away.. Decisions Decisions!!

When I ordered mine from Office it said Not Available for about 3 weeks, then suddenly they appeared at my door! The Repetto ones are exactly the same as the Office ones, but 3 times the price, so I sent the Repetto ones back to La Redoute. I don't think I'd order from Office online again to be honest, the lack of communication really put me off. Good luck!

I ordered the Repetto last night from lagarconne.com in a jazz shoe rage, so I will probably have 2 of the same exact shoe too.. Thanks for your help!

If you were going to buy a golf club, you wouldn't walk into a store and buy the first one you see, would you? Of course
not; especially if you want to improve your golf game! You'll want to hold the club, take some practice swings, hit some
balls if the store has a practice spot, and look at the price, of course. If you are considering buying running shoes,
you need to go through a similar process and take the time to find the perfect shoe.
